Bartholomew’s Cobble – A National Natural Landmark – is a nature preserve that is home to one of North America’s greatest diversities of fern species and their allies, as well as abundant woodland wildflowers.

This family-friendly destination includes 5 miles of moderate hiking trails on 329 pristine acres. The high point at Bartholomew’s Cobble, Hurlburt’s Hill, rises 1,000 feet to a twenty-acre upland field on the Massachusetts-Connecticut border that offers panoramic views northward up the Housatonic River Valley.

Offers naturalist-guided canoe tours on the Housatonic River and nature programs. On-site Visitor’s Center and Natural History Museum (handicapped-accessible public restrooms).
