Riverside Trails Seminar
with Peter Jensen
- Saturday September 9th (10am-NOON)
- Register: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Space limited / free
Great Barrington Land Conservancy invites you to learn about the planning and implementation of creating riverside trails from expert trail builder, Peter Jensen. Peter has been building trails for over 30 years, and River Walk was one of his early projects. Learn how this National Recreation Trail grew from a garbage filled bank. See the steps that allowed for a rehabilitated riverfront area and a peaceful in-town walkway celebrating the beauty and history of Great Barrington and the Housatonic River.
Peter will share his expertise and trail building experiences in a power point presentation followed by a guided walk along River Walk. The seminar will provide a small group with an intimate learning opportunity. This workshop is free and open to all. Participants will have an opportunity to talk to Peter about their own trail projects or riverside trail goals. Register today to be sure you reserve your space. Morning refreshments will be served. Seminar discussion will be encouraged and informative!
This program is provided by Great Barrington Land Conservancy as part of the 2017 River Walk Community Programs.
