Catch the peak of spring migration at the Myrin Institute Preserve (located in the Monument Valley/Konkapot Brook Watershed/Important Bird Area. We will listen and look for warblers, thrushes, and other songbirds around the beaver ponds and woodland trails. If time permits we’ll check other nearby birding hot spots. Bring binoculars and trail snacks.

The Myrin Preserve is located at the end of Blue Hill Road in Great Barrington at the Appalachian Trail crossing, just east of Monument Valley Road at the base of Beartown State Forest. It is a wonderful beaver influenced site with calm impoundments and diverse avian use.
