Herons, loons, beavers, and other wildlife are all possible sightings on this large, secluded lake in October Mountain State Forest. Explore the coves and inlets before paddling ashore to enjoy a snack, visit forest plant communities, and search for signs of animals such as porcupines and moose.
Instructions and Directions: Children must be at least 10 years of age and accompanied by an adult. All participants must know how to swim. Bring food, water, insect repellent, and sunscreen.
PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Groups are limited to 11 preregistered participants, we cannot accommodate walk-ins. Participants are required to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed 24 hours before the program.
